In den USA hat die Industrie rund USD 7 Mrd. Umsatz generiert. Sie verzeichnet ein jährliches Wachstum von 8,5% und beschäftigt über 50′000 Personen. Eine Vielzahl dieser Firmen waren in Desinformations-Kampagnen involviert. Desinformation gehört heute zum Standard der Industrie, der Politik und der Wirtschaftsakteure.
